Sustainability
Trusted ESG advice from a dedicated team of experts
ESG risks are top of investors' priorities
SFA (Oxford) now produces market-leading insights into the value proposition of the mining industry's ESG and sustainability initiatives. Our bespoke ESG consulting solutions and extensive analytics help to inform corporate strategy, streamline projects and de-risk operations to meet the growing demands of ESG-conscious investors. There are few sectors that are as intrinsically linked to the natural world and local communities as the commodities and energy sectors. Stringent industry regulations, coupled with increasingly strict disclosure and legislation requirements, are driving companies to be more transparent as they strive to quantify their environmental and social value alongside traditional financial metrics. Let SFA help you to unlock the tremendous upside of this new age of ESG focus and sustainability across your business.
Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions
Critical to sustainability success is a reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions, which results from direct ownership and operational control by companies and the implementation of their carbon reduction strategy. However, to achieve Scope 3 emissions success and carbon neutrality responsibility, indirect emissions from upstream and downstream activities also need to be accounted for to quantify a company's entire carbon footprint, and therefore should also be included in net-zero carbon targets.
Improving the accuracy and transparency of emissions reporting across the business value chain can enable greater success for all stakeholders through additional realised benefits from working together, developing emissions risk mitigation strategies and pioneering new innovations to protect business interests from increasingly stringent carbon restrictions imposed by governments and regulatory bodies. SFA can work in partnership with you and be your trusted advisor on your path to net zero.
