The Oxford Platinum Lectures 2016

Parts of the sum: Powerful players in
today’s PGM buying cycle

Friday 13th May, Merton College, University of Oxford

In 2016, SFA (Oxford) was proud to celebrate seven years of hosting the Oxford Platinum Lectures. In response to the unprecedented challenges facing the platinum market, we invited leading international experts to provide insightful presentations on pathways to new opportunities for the platinum industry.

The platinum industry went through traumatic times in 2015 and, despite recent positive automotive figures from Europe, the uncertainty over growth in China and geopolitical stresses and volatility in oil markets mean the Oxford Platinum Lectures took place at a pivotal moment for the PGM industry.

Our event brought together authorities from across the platinum landscape to discuss the fundamental shifts in the industry, with an emphasis on those parts of the value chain where major investments are being made.
